Language files each in a separate json file

A much requested feature is to have a different json for each language instead of all in one Json file.

en.json
nl.json
es.json
de.json

etc.

or even better :
en_us
en_ca
fr_fr
fr_ca
etc

Hi @bobzer I have given you edit permissions for French as requested.

Is there a big difference between en_us and en_ca except for symbols like $ or C$? Maybe currency / number wise? If so, I don’t think this software will value much from differentiating on that level?

Unless there is really a grammar difference or word difference, this could be considered.

Hi,

Now the translations are in separate files under the translations directory. By default the app loads the en-us file.

In your example it’s actually a matter of region I guess.
With my little French knowledge:

Battery (electrical)

  • [of torch, electrical appliance] pile f
  • [of car] batterie f

Same as in dutch, we can say Batterij (when we talk about remote battery etc), but when its a big battery we tend to call it Accu.

But I see marton went ahead and applied your suggested standard
